Jerusalem Synagogue Attack a Canadian Injured in Attack
OTTAWA – A Canadian-Israeli was wounded in an attack on a synagogue in Jerusalem that killed four Jews and two attackers killed by Israeli police on Tuesday.
This is Chaim “Howie” Rothman, a 53 year old man who grew up in Toronto and moved to Isarel there are more than 30 years, QMI Agency has learned.
A doctor who lived in Toronto was one of the first to go there to heal the lame. “I got a call and I ran,” said Joyce Morel daily “Haaretz”. “It was very disturbing to see people hurt,” said one who immigrated to Israel two years ago.
Terri Rothman, the sister of the victim, said to QMI Agency that her brother was in critical condition.
The brother of Mr. Rothman, Raymond Benhaim, told that he was now in a coma. “We believe he lost an eye,” said the man who lives in Montreal.
“This is serious,” also noted an old classmate Howie Rothman, Toby Trompeter.
Mr. Rothman, father of 10 children, suffered a four-hour surgery to treat injuries to the neck and head, she added. He was also wounded in the arm hands.
