Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhavan Palace Declare World’s Best Hotel In Top Ranking

Umaid Bhavan Palace is the Hotel in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. It is recently declared the best hotel of the world. Once it was called “Chittar Royal Palace”

Chittar Palace was established in the era of 1928 and to 1943 by Maharaja of Jodhpur, Umaid Singh Ji, who is the grandfather of recent Maharaja. This palace was built replacing Mehrangarh Fort for employment of people of Jodhpur because at that time food and water were rare. 2,000 to 3,000 were engaged building it.

It was named Chittar palace because of the sandstone used building it. That name of that sandstone was chittar sandstone.

 

Since 1971 Chittar palace is serving as a Hotel and in 2005 Taj Hotel Resorts and Palaces were appointed for the job to carry its Royal Tradition

 

The Palace is standing on 26 acres of land consisting of 347 rooms in total, including 70 guest rooms. In these guest rooms there are “Regal Suits, Vice Regal Suits” and “Maharaja Suits and Maharani Suits.”

Golden-yellow colored sandstone named chittar sandstone was used to build the palace and later Makrana marble was also used. Wood used in interior work is Burmese teak wood.

A double bed room is charged Rs: 44,987 per night; however for a suit they charge Rs: 1, 18,900 as per a individual night.

 

The dining table of the hotel is set according to the traditional touch of Indian culture.

While visiting there you will fantasize yourself as in a Fairy tale because of the courtyards.

Their style of welcoming the guests is purely customary as of the Jodhpur at the times of building this Palace with Dancing on dhol and drums and serving of champagne.
