Nepal Deadliest Earthquake; Death Toll Rises 4,000, Rescue Trying to Discover other Dead Bodies
A deadliest earthquake stormed Nepal’s historical city Kathmandu where dozens buildings destroyed with heavy jolts of disaster and death toll rises 3700. The powerful earthquake targeted over a quarter part of the nation’s population, according to recent survey by the United Nations.
The quake attacked country with a magnitude of 7.8 on about Saturday early hours which affected nearly eight million people and the residents of victim areas have revealed about more fatalities because searches for other dead bodies are being done by locals and rescue members.
The Nepal authorities have claimed more bodies are being expected as so many residents of the area are still missing and may be into debris so death toll may rises over 9000.
People of the Kathmandu city and from other nearest enclaves have lost their homes, international aid has been providing victims since the regrettable incident but the aid which has provided, not enough because about 1.4 million food aid required yet.
A power earthquake hit thousands houses and till now over 4,300 dead bodies have discovered and more than 8,000 wounded, though deaths would exceed over 9000 as searches are going to find out other to trapped into wreckage of buildings.
The medical support has also been sending to victims as an American doctor Rebecca McAteer was arrived in the district of Gorkha to treat victim people with her team. About 90% houses have destroyed completely.
Surya Mohan Adhikari, a district official described media reporters that because of bad weather to reach around location of Kathmandu, helicopter facing difficulties but they are trying to help victims by sending them first aid as well as foods goods.
The victim country is still appealing other nations to send them more help because required more as given support is not enough because a large number of people still waiting more food and other goods.
