Johannesburg High Court Sentenced 1,535 years Imprisonment to 29 Women’s Rapist
The South African media reported, Albert Morake found guilty with allegations for sexually assaulting nearly 30 women over a five-year period including 144 serious criminal but he refused all charges which imputed. The Johannesburg High Court sentenced him 1,535-year imprisonment.
The 35-year-old began his period of remorseless repression in 2007 and stoped sexually assaulting of women in 2012, Gauteng province’s region Tembisa.
After finding guilty with strong proofs, the High Court of Johannesburg announced punishment 1,535-year jail to Morake on Wednesday as well as 30-year imprisonment for 30 counts of rape, 360-year for robbery and more than hundred for offenses, robbery- kidnapping and attempted killing people.
However, Morake denied and appealed court while refusing to 175 accusations as 41 of kidnapping, 24 of robbery, rape of 30 ladies and some other. Though, Morake convicted on 144 counts and it will be acted on courts’ punishments at the time.
He often took women captive at gunpoint, sometimes with their partners, who forced by him to watch and during raping the, also invited his crime partners to becoming a part of sexual assaulting targeted ladies.
The Judge Strydom expressed his anger while saying he will announce death penalty if Morake showed resistance after knowing about, he shot dead one of the people after kidnapping in one of his crimes.
The victims women told how the rape had affected their lives in the long trial, victims couldn’t walk out at late night and feels fear while trusting in men to marital problems.
Judge Strydom felt the sorrow of those who told about the problems which they faced after facing the ruthlessness of Morake.
Strydom expressed anger, “The victims are unable to live normal lives,”
Strydom also said that the rapist has not any kind of remorse after behaving brutality with girls and if he thought about the rehabilitation so it couldn’t be.
