PCB writers to PM seeking approval for India Series

Mr. Shaharyar kahn the chairman of Pakistan cricket board write a letter to PM Nawaz Sharif to seeking permission for Pakistan-India cricket series which is scheduled in December. He also said that if the cricket series between two countries is played in Sri Lanka instead of United Arab Emirates it will cost much less for Pakistan. We also forward a formal complain to International Cricket Council regarding Michael Vaughan tweets about 3rd One Day International played between Pakistan and England at Sharjah.

It all set in Sri Lanka who host the upcoming bilateral series in December between India and Pakistan. The series which is now playing in Sri Lanka has also solved the broadcasting issue that becomes a relief for Pakistan Cricket Board. Ten Sports is a Dubai-based broadcaster who also broadcasting series in Pakistan and India which means that Pakistan is no need to compromise on their revenue, which is dependent on the series with India. If the series is played in India the broadcasting rights will go the Star Sports because Star Sports have all the Exclusive rights to broadcast India’s home series.

Ten Sports also holds the broadcasting right of International cricket matches played in Sri Lanka and they also have rights for the Sri Lankan National Cricket team.

Pakistan Cricket Board has sets a multi-million deal with their broadcaster and its highly depends on the fact that the series with India id held. If the series is not played between Pakistan and India in December at least 60% of the total amount of bid will be reduced by broadcaster said by PCB source.

Pakistan India are scheduled to play two Twenty Internaionals, Five ODIs and two test In December & January in United Arab Emirates. But now the time is running out and only the limited over matches are possible if the series is played on the Island said by Sri Lankan officials.The two countries has not played a bilateral test series against each other since 2007 when Pakistan toured India.

Sources says that the series between India and Pakistan is most likely to play in Sri Lanka and the Pakistan profit in the series decrease if it is not playing in United Arab Emirates. Pakistan Cricket Board is expecting to earn $20 million if the series is played in Sri Lanka the host country will also gain some financial benefits.
