Suspected Person Hit PM Nawaz Sharif’s Vehicle in Middle of Convoy in Islamabad
Islamabad: Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif fortunately remained safe as an unknown person hit on his convoy on Sunday night, on the way to Islamabad.
According to recent news from the media, the PM Sharif was on the way to Islamabad alongside his family members, suddenly a car attempted to overtake the convoy and collided with his vehicle.
As incident occurred, security officials rushed immediately overcome the situation and ordered him to pull over as well detained its driver, while after little investigation, fake number plate discovered on the suspected car.
The insiders confirmed that prime minister remained successful and not any injury emerged in the response of the attack, which believes to be done by any terrorist group.
The security forces have launched their investigation after an hour taking in custody the suspect person, while it also said to be that the suspect is a retired air commodore from the Pakistan Air Force, who was also on the same way along with his own family in a white land cruiser, one of the government officials described media reporters.
Other reports also claimed that the suspect is being investigated by the Prime Minister’s security team as well his vehicle has also been confiscated, while no one revealed about latest information yet.
Onlookers told media that the incident occurred at a little distance from the capital city Islamabad.
Police officials and security experts feared to have the attack was done by the banned group and other terrorist groups or may be the by militants’ avenge of the killing of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi leader Malik Ishaq who killed in a police encounter a week ago.
