3rd Test- 4th Day; Pakistan Needs To Protect Wickets Playing Against Sri Lanka At Pallekele
Men in Blue Shirts set a 377 runs target for Pakistani rivals, who can easily chase the score by doing caution as they started second innings poorly but later on controlled position and until now batting traveling steady.
As we watched second innings of Sri Lankan, who also took weaker start as Rahat Ali and Ehsan Adil appeared huge hurdles but later on, only four batsmen helped team to carry good score for tough target.
Dimuth Karunaratne and Kaushal Silva couldn’t support their team well and lost their wickets in beginning, while Upul Tharanga, Dinesh Chandimal, Jehan Mubarak and captain Angelo Mathews scored well to protect team from defeat risks.
Captain Mathews appeared top scorer in second innings as collected 122 runs by playing 252 balls, while Chandimal was the second one who scored 67 on 103 balls.
However, Tharanga tried hard to stay at the wicket for hours but couldn’t faced more Men in Green attacks and after scoring 48 runs which considered precious for target. Mubarak remained successful to acquire 35 runs which helped a lot to create reasonable targeting score for rivals.
It wouldn’t be wrong, if it said that every single match watcher became bore by watching boring situation of third test game of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Test Series.
By observing the current situation, it seems Men in Green shirts may achieve the victory as they are playing responsibly, until now— Shan Masood and Younis Khan are still ruling at wicket by facing toughest bowling by rivals, who appears to be trying hard to name victory.
Nevertheless, Ahmed Shehzad and Azhar Ali couldn’t stay at wicket and bowled in initial session, though Masood has scored 106 on 179 balls and Khan 90 on 153, while total score is 209.
