Anita Ekberg, 83, Star of La Dolce Vita Passes Away

Italy: The former Miss Sweden, actress, model, and sex symbol of Hollywood, became prominent for her performance in Federico Fellini’s iconic movie, passed away.

According to latest news former Hollywood actress and sex symbol Anita Ekberg has been died in Rome on Sunday morning in age of 83, her lawyer confirm the death of Ekberg stating that actress passed away at the clinic San Raffaele a Rocca di Papa on Sunday.

Ekberg is best known for her role as Sylvia in the Federico Fellini film La Dolce Vita in 1960, there are lot of scenes in the movie which sparked romantic thrill in the Hollywood movies in new direction including Ekberg dancing, splashing and alluring Mastroianni into water is one of cinema’s most iconic romantic sequences.

Born in Malmo, Sweden the actress has age of 83 and admitted in hospital since Christmas Eve following bad health, however, she had been on wheelchair over hip injuries from several years.

The actress has been featured in more than 35 movies for leading, pivotal and supporting roles including her famous La Dolce Vita, a comedy epic ‘4 for Texas’, ‘I clowns’ and ‘Intervista’ among others.

Anita Ekberg body will be sent to Sweden to bury while the funeral in scheduled this week.
