China’s Foreign Minister To Visit Pakistan Soon, Says FO Spokesperson

Islamabad: Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi will visit Pakistan soon for talks and will finalize President Xi’s visit to Pakistan said the foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam.

The FOREIGN OFFICE SPOKESPERSON Tasnim Aslam on Friday said that the Chinese Foreign Ministers is soon to visit Pakistan to discuss regional issues of common interest as per our tradition and practice .However, the date of his arrival is not confirmed yet.

Foreign Office further stated that President Xi will be visiting Pakistan this year as well but his arrival dates are still being worked out.

According to news the Foreign Minister of China is coming to Pakistan to discuss the trip of President Xi to Pakistan, who will be attending the military day parade as the chief guest next month.

The parade will be organised by joint staff head quarters Rawalpindi, which over see the entire Pakistani military. The joint parade of the three branches of armed forces had been the hallmark of the Pakistan Day festivities, which features display of military hardware and cultural activities.

However, the venue of parade is yet to be finalised so far two potential places have been short listed. The last military parade was held in the era of President Pervaiz Musharaf, since then no parade was organised due to security reasons.

The move to invite Xi came forward after President Barack Obama attended India’s 66th Republic day parade.

Earlier today General Raheel Sahreef met the Premier of the country and gave him briefing about his visit to Beijing where he met top Chinese political and military leadership.

President Xi, intended to visit Pakistan last year but it got cancelled due to anti government protests being held in Islamabad by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek(PAT).
