England Beat Scotland by 119 Runs, Moeen Ali Becomes Winning Key ICC World Cup

The English cricket team stormed their Scottish rivals and defeated them by 119 runs in fourteenth match of Pool A at Hagley Oval, Christchurch.

The fourteenth match of World Cup was played at Christchurch’s Hagley Oval, where the Scottish captain Preston Mommsen invited English team to bat first while winning the toss and in the result English batting line took complete advantage of bat first.

England batsmen stormed Scotland’s bowlers and created 303 runs while playing 50 overs losing 8 wickets. England’s openers Moeen Ali, Ian Bell took complete advantage of bat first and played awesome innings—creating huge opening score for team, Moeen made 128 on 107 balls and lan Bell 54 on 85.

Captain Eoin Morgan also showed responsible play and stayed long at wicket to enhanced score—hitting hard rivals, and lost wicket after scoring 46 on 42.

Jos Buttler also helped team with 24 runs but James Taylor, Joe Root and Gary Balance appeared out of form and lost wickets without scoring much.

Moeen received huge praise as played marvelous innings and it wasn’t wrong to select him as opener in this mega event, scored second one-day international century and showed responsibility while playing largest opening partnership in this match.

Josh Davey appeared technical bowler for its team who bowled well and remained 4 wickets— throwing 60 balls against rivals.

Kyle Coetzer, Calum MacLeod joined wicket to perform well for nation but Coetzer became fatal weapon for England’s attackers and defend well to create good opening score.

Freddie Coleman, Matt Machan and Richie Berrington remained unsuccessful to help their team to name victory because the toughest bowling of England doused over hopes for victory.

Captain Mommsen, Matthew Cross struggled to win the match but they couldn’t play more as Mommsen 26 and Cross 23 on 32 balls.

From Eng bowling side tremendous bowling emerged as Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes and James Anderson remained successful to get 2, 2, 2 wickets but Steven Finn showed destructive bowling while getting 3 wickets.
