Gilgit Helicopter Crash Leaves 7 Dead Including Philippines, Norway Ambassadors

GILGIT: Pakistani Army helicopter crashed near the tourist spot of Naltar in Gilgit Baltistan killed Norway, Philippines Ambassadors and six others while 10 were injured.

According to latest news Pakistan Army helicopter has crashed in Naltar left eight dead including four of foreign envoys among two Norway, Philippines Ambassadors, and wives of Malaysian and Indonesian ambassadors while two pilots of Pak Army Major Altamash and Major Faisal and a chief technician also killed.

Pakistani Secretary of State has stated that ambassadors of Netherlands, Lebanon, Norway, Romania, South Africa, Philippines, Poland, Sweden and Indonesia were on board at the time of crash which was occur due to some technical fault and this was not a terror activity.

Talking about the injured passengers he said that Indonesian ambassador has been burnt seventy five percent and is truly in critical condition, Polish ambassador has head and Netherlands ambassador has leg injuries, Malaysian envoys face a should has been wounded, although, are out of danger.

ISPR director Major General Asim Bajwa has stated that unfortunate incident occurred at morning in Naltar area of Gilgit Baltistan, two helicopters have made safe landings earlier but the third crashed following technical breakdown.

General Raheel Sharif Chief of Army Staff expressed grief and sorrow over the tragic crash of helicopter which led to killing of many of lives saying that we are with the families of dead people in this hour of grief while our hearts and feelings are with mourners and it is sad day for all of us.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and their advisor expressed deep sorrow over the Naltar crash while almost all of political persons including PTI chairman Imran Khan, PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari, Fazal Ur Rehman, Siraj Ul Haq, Liaqat Baloch and Chaudhry Shujaat expressed their feeling of sadness on the crash stating it a sad accident.
