Gunfire At US Blasphemous Sketches Event Leaves Two Dead
Texas: In US State of Texas Gunmen opened fire at Blasphemous Sketches art exhibition left two assailants dead as police responded to gunfire.
According to foreign new agency the Blasphemous Sketches event has been continued in Texas City Garland at the Curtis Culwell Centre when two suspects opened fire outside the building and wounded the security guard, Police has responded the gunfire quickly and shot both of assailant dead at the spot.
Police authorities stated that nothing can be said about the direct link of gunfire to caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed exhibition organized by American Freedom Defense Initiative, however, identities of suspects, vehicle, and arms they are using were taken into custody and investigations are being done under the given circumstances.
The Organizer of art exhibition American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) were criticized earlier for being anti-Islamic attended by controversial Dutch far-right politician Geert Wilders who often spoke against the Muslims.
The security forces are shut down the building immediately as the incident happened and still there is no claim of responsibility made about shooting, although, fortunately no person has been hit by fire despite of security guard who has been identified as Bruce Joiner being shot in the leg hospitalized for treatment.
According to an eyewitness the suspect were came there in a car form which nearly 20 shots were fired, the suspects has wounded the guard but killed by police officers present there.
Drawing of Prophet Mohammad has been considered as insult Islam followers which sparked violence all over the world; any physical depiction of the Prophet Muhammad is taken as blasphemous.
In beginning of the year 12 people were killed by shooting of gunmen at Paris newspaper Charlie Hebdo office, the four of them were cartoonist and involved in making Blasphemous Sketches.
