Helicopter Crash Kills 10 People, Including Three French Sports Celebrities in Argentina
The French Presidential Office confirmed, a helicopter crash killed 10 people as well as three renowned French sports celebrities in Argentina.
International media reported two helicopters collided in north-west of country, La Rioja province, in the result two Argentine pilots and eight French nationals died in his incident.
The 57-year-old French sailor Florence Arthaud, Alexis Vastine,28, (Olympic boxer) and Olympic swimmer Camille Muffat,25, all lost their lives in this sudden incident.
The unexpected incident came out between two helicopters, when the filming of French television reality show ‘Dropped’ was being done.
Francois Hollande, French President told media in statement that the unexpected deaths made us grieve as eight French nationals are among the killings.
Alexis Vastine, 28-year-old young-talented French boxer who received bronze at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the light-welterweight category and closely defeated in 2012 Games’ quarter-finals.
Camille Muffat, French swimmer, 25, who sacked three medals as well as gold in the 400m freestyle in the 2012 London Olympics and gave up from competitive swimming in.
Florence Arthaud, 57-year-old enormously skillful sailor, named the 1990 Route du Rhum, the prestigious solo Atlantic race. Florence suffered from coma in age of 17 after a serious car accident.
The officials reported media that the incident took place close to Villa Castelli, located at 1,170km (720 miles) distance from Buenos Aires and suddenly both helicopters collided while filming the so popular celebrities’ reality show on the channel TF1 ‘Dropped’.
The show demonstrates renowned personalities to struggle hard to find out food as well shelter and for this purpose helicopters are used to drop them at rough territories in the country.
The officials described the weather condition in hilly area was too good where the incident occurred, so don’t know how it happened.
