Abuja: A 10-year-old girl blew herself up in busy market carrying heavy explosive material killed at least 19 in the northeast Nigerian city of Maiduguri.

According to foreign news agency the suspected Boko Haram girl, 10 has exploded in crowded market of Maiduguri in northeastern Nigeria, killed at least 19 people while dozens were wounded in this suicide attack on Saturday, injured people reportedly hospitalized immediately.

Borno State police spokesperson Gideon Jubrin confirmed the death figure of said while talking to media persons that suicide girl, believed to 10-year-old, detonated herself in the busy market around 12:15 local time, when people doing shopping, caused death of 19 while 18 others have been wounded.

Authorities stated that no militant group claimed the responsibility of Maiduguri market bombing, however, it is expected that Boko Haram Islamist group involved in such terror activity as they earlier used women and young girls for suicide blast many times.

A witness at the scene stated that the girl was only 10-year-old and absolutely didn’t know what she have been strapped around her body, searched for entrance in market when metal detector identified something and suddenly she blew herself up.

She was worn enough powerful material as she tore in two parts while others parts of her body scattered around, killed at least 10 other at the spot, the witness added.
