Nigeria’s Boko Haram crisis: Zaria Bombing Kills 25 People, Wounded over 31
Militants have been targeting Northern Nigeria for over the month— a suicide bomber stormed a building and reportedly shot dead about 25 as well wounded more than 31in city Zaria.
The State Governor told media, a suicide bomber emerged at a government building in the city, with heavy explosives which fixed on his body and detonated himself in crowd of civil servants.
After the incident stampede was seen at the victim place in Zaria, which is a major city in Kaduna State in Northern Nigeria and rescue workers reached at the scene, took wounded and dead bodies to nearest medical center where treatment is being done to save them.
It said to be that the suicide attack belongs to Nigeria’s largest militant organization Boko Haram, while the terror group didn’t claim responsibility for Zaria incident yet.
Nevertheless, everyone knows that the organization has been targeting Nigeria’s Northern regions for weeks or since President Muhammudu Buhari took charge of office in May, until now killed hundreds of citizens by carrying out suicide bombing, open gun firing, target killing, and shelling.
Solomon Arase announced new measures
By considering the intense bombing incident in Zaria which formerly known as Zazzau and which have been done in other regions and cities Northern Nigeria, police chief Solomon Arase has declared new measures which are given below, to stop the intense violence.
New measures;
• Banned street trading and hawking in the capital, Abuja
• Security would be posted at all mosques and churches countrywide.
Onlookers from Zaria told media primary school teachers as well as other people who were at the victim location said to be had been standing in line seek of employments under Mr Buhari’s administration but suddenly a suicide bomber came there and detonated himself with heavy explosives in Zaria’s Sabon Gari district.
