Sri Lanka Beat Pakistan Second Test by 7 Wickets, Level the Three-Match by Series 1-1
Colombo: Sri Lankan batsmen stormed Pakistani bowlers who couldn’t name the match victory this time– Men in Green lost the match and guest team level the three-match by series 1-1.
The game of fifth day second test match was started late because of rain at P Sara Oval, Colombo, and by chasing the given 153 runs minor target from rivals, named the victory easily.
The openers took charge of wicket hitting hard bowlers in Green, who remained unsuccessful to halt opponent collecting runs.
Only three batsmen as Dimuth Karunaratne, Kithuruwan Vithanage and captain Angelo Mathews appeared enough to chase the minor target.
Karunaratne 50 runs facing 57 balls, if leg-spinner Yasir Shah never bowled him, he definitely collect more runs, though, Vithanage survived scoring 34 on 23 balls.
Nevertheless, experienced and former captain of the Sri Lankan team Kumar Sangakkara couldn’t show his best this time and lost wicket facing only ball by Zulfiqar Babar.
Mathews set his mind to finish the innings as fast as possible while scoring 43 on 57 and named victory losing three wickets.
In the first innings, Men in Green shirts remained unsuccessful to create huge target and all wickets lost scoring 138 first day at P Sara Oval, Colombo, though, in the response, host team couldn’t played too good as only scored 315 runs.
Young Pakistani talented Leg-spinner Yasir Shah became huge hurdle in way of Sri Lankan first innings, who stunned rivals with marvelous bowling and collected 6 wickets.
Nevertheless, when Pakistan started their batting, then it appeared to be that they will certainly to create huge target for opponents as Ahmed Shehzad and Azhar Ali showed praiseworthy piece of cricket, Shehzad scored 69 and Ali 117 on 308 balls.
Younis Khan was third one who stayed at wicket more than one hour and scored 40 on 67 but unfortunately, after these three batsmen—not any other could do well and total score of 329 runs was clear witness of defeat as it same occurred.
