US-Coalition to Send More 1500 Troops to Iraq
Washington: US-led coalition has decided to send additional 1500 troops to Iraq to aid fight against Islamic state.
International media reported that Lt Gen James Terry said while talking to media person in Kuwait that US-led allies agreed to pledge additional 1500 troops to Iraq against ISIS militants.
Terry clarified that these troops wouldn’t participate directly in fighting but they would be send to train and advise the soldiers to fight in batter manner.
US official didn’t talk about which ally would send the additional troops or either these are American soldiers, however, hundreds of American troops have being fighting in Iraq and Syria to demolish the Islamic State from the region.
Iraqi Security forces trying to engage ISIS militants but these extremist are much capable and trained with comparison to government forces.
US troops, who are already in Iraq, left ineffective in past few months and Islamic state fighters are gaining control on various regions of Iraq and now aiming to hold Syria. However, American security forces succeeded to weaken Islamic State by targeting and destroying key infrastructure and also killed many militants by carrying out airstrikes in these areas.
