ICC World Cup; India Beats Zimbabwe by 6 Wickets
The Indian stormed Zimbabwe while maintaining his top points ranking in world cup, defeated rivals by 6 wickets at Eden Park, Auckland.
The Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni invited opponents while winning the toss which proved good idea as they remained successful beating Zimbabwe who created not good target as batting first.
Zimbabwe set 287 runs target with their struggles but it wasn’t enough in front of Indian too strong batting line up who completed this target, but the Zimbabwe attackers’ toughest bowling made difficult for Indian and game was finished in 48 overs .
Openers Chamu Chibhabha, Hamilton Masakadza joined wickets but couldn’t defend well Indian attackers who stormed badly them and went back to pavilion while losing their wickets in beginning of the game.
Solomon Mire also remained unlucky to defend the attacks, after them, Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor appeared angry and hit hard opponents while creating good partnership with Sean Williams who also strike well and stayed long at wicket.
Taylor scored 138 on 110 balls and his partner Williams 50 on 57, but other couldn’t perform well to achieve a good fight score for Indian. Craig Ervine (27 runs), Sikandar Raza (28) played not bad not good.
Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav bowled 3,3 batsmen with good economy rate.
The time was bad for Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma who both couldn’t stay for minutes and lost their wickets in start.
After the bad opening, Virat Kohli thought that is the one who have to do this, but he was also wrong this time but played little good and lost wicket by Sikandar Raza after some minutes while struggling to achieve more runs. Day was also bad for Ajinkya Rahane who was occurred run out.
After the bad start, it was considering by Indian team that results could be worse but Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni took control on game while playing massive innings and rained of runs at stadium.
While losing 4 wickets and playing 48.4 overs, completed target 288 but faced difficulties as the Zimbabwe bowlers showed destructive bowling.
