The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Imran Khan and Reham Khan have divorced with mutual consensus after 10 months of wedding. The news was approved and issued by PTI Central Information Secretary Naeem-ul-Haq on Firday. She advised media not to exploit the news and avoid any speculation.

From last six months, the news about dissolution of Khan’s marriage was in rumors. Imran Khan continued to deny the fact and both appeared together on many occasions. Khan tweeted and denied explicitly that no such baseless fact exist and he was shocked thy why media was propagating such statements.

The internal sources close to chairman PTI told that both Imran Khan and Reham Khan were not getting along. He said that Reham did not want to remain seated at home. She wanted to get herself involved in politics but Khan was not happy with it. There were other issues too, he said, but the major issue was about joining the politics. Khan announced in response to the attacks on her wife, that Reham will not be participating in politics actively. He announced it in August after NA-19 by polls.

According to some other confidante of Khan, Khan’s family was putting a lot of pressure on him and influencing him to divorce Reham. The possible reason behind this could be Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, who was not happy with Khan’s marriage with Reham. Anyhow, Reham Khan has not been accessed for further details. Media is trying to communicate with her, but there is news that she is on her way to London where she is expected to address a press conference.

The TV journalist Reham Khan tied knot to Imran Khan in a simple Nikah Ceremony taken place in January at Bani Gala. The low-key affair Nikah was conducted by Mufti Saeed. The marriage was given coverage by all media channels in Pakistan and it enchanted the whole country. The PTI Chairman Imran Khan was previously married to English Journalist Jemima Goldsmith. The marriage ended after 9 years as Jamima was unable to adapt the Pakistani lifestyle. Reham was previously wedded to Ijaz Rehman, a psychologist, with whom she was mother to 3 children.
