German Court Allows Muslim Teachers to Wear HeadScarves
Berlin: On Friday, new rule announced by the Federal Constitutional Court the Muslim teachers can put on head scarves in school, while it was banned.
In past the Germany court had banned Muslim ladies that they can’t wear head scarves but now court removed restriction of scarf wearing in schools for Muslim women, the 6-to-2 ruling from the court in Karlsruhe stipulated.
The court decided to remove ban because scarf wearing restriction was creating tensions throughout Europe over so many Muslims women as well Syrian refugees and was fueling nationalism at many locations in continent.
The court decision is being appreciated by legal experts as well several politicians who all welcomed warmly because it is a great advance for Muslims and freedom.
It was estimated by German leaders that about 3.5 million Muslim women have refused to train as teacher as the scarf wearing restriction declared in past by court but now they encouraged by court verdict who allowed them.
However, the permission to cover head with scarf by government throws unity message in continent as General Secretary of Central Council of Muslims in Germany, Miss Nurhan Soykan, expressed joy while admiring the ruling and stated that let Muslim women participate in social life because equality and unity in nation will generate good atmosphere.
A Constitutional law professor at Berlin’s Free University, Christian Pestalozza also shared her view, according to her court took good decision because it is their right as they are follow Islamic culture.
On the other hand, it reveals that the ruling can fuel the anti-immigrant emotion and also can lend new support to Pegida (an anti-Islam protest group) which established in Dresden and claims the country is being Islamized. Though, Muslim ladies are feeling joy after approving scarf wearing appeal.
