HTC Founder Wang Replaces Chou as Company CEO
HTC Corporation, Taiwanese smartphone makers had announced its founder Cher Wang as chief executive, a statement issued by the company on Friday.
Peter Chou was performing his duties for company as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), would be the part of HTC and will run company’s ‘Future Development Lab’ as well lead new growth opportunities for the former contract electronics maker.
Company appreciated Peter’s struggles to build a strong consumer brand, Wang already performing his duties as company chairwoman and has the authority to take any decision for amendment in company for two years and now Peter Chou will focus on product development.
The board of directors and HTC’s executive group voted for to formalize that grow and Wang’s name as CEO to lead in future period of development, HTC Company revealed on Friday.
Peter’s term of performance, lifted up company’s name in list of world’s top smartphone makers, though with respect of market share and sales, HTC remained unsuccessful to beat other competitors as Samsung Electronics and Apple.
A market analyst with research firm IDC, Miss Melissa Chau described that Taiwanese smartphone makers considered world’s 14th-largest smartphone seller from last year.
Melissa also explained that HTC still commands some brand recognition other than its higher-end machines have attempted to extend when Apple Inc. and South Korean android phones maker Samsung have far high scale marketing and research budgets.
HTC facing disturbance at this stage as other lower-end smartphone makers destroying their market value because Chinese devices, sellers offering reasonably priced machines.
Smartphones are more and more becoming products, so companies have to depend on brand or software to engage users, it said in statement– HTC will focus to make better company’s reputation than past that’s what they want.
