Kabul Blast: Car Bombing Kills 12 in Afghan Capital, Injures 60

Kabul: Car blast outside a hospital on Saturday in capital of Afghanistan killed 12 people while more than 60 were injured in this bombing, probably a suicide attack on foreign military convoy vehicle.

According to foreign news agency a car bomb exploded outside private hospital in capital of Afghanistan that has killed 12 people, more than 60 were injured in this bombing while few sources has cited more than hundred injuries following the attack including scores of children and women.

The Afghan Ministry of Public Health has stated that victims of deadly blast include three NATO contractors while nine of local Afghans killed in this attack, bombing destroyed several surrounding vehicles including a school van and a pick along with another van which caught flames.

Afghan authorities has stated that rescue teams reached the spot immediately and injured people were taken to hospital as soon as possible while the place has been later cleared by bomb disposal and security enforcement agencies.

No militant group has claimed the responsibility of the attack carried out through car bombing in the Macrorayan district but it is likely that Taliban were behind the explosion because in recent past they involved in a series of bombings.

The Afghan deputy interior ministry spokesman has confirmed the killings of 12 people while senior NATO official has made confirmation of three American contractors in the powerful explosion while also caused great damage to nearby building while more than dozen of civilian vehicles were destroyed.

Following the announcement of a new Taliban leader the explosion was recent attack carried out by Taliban in capital of Afghanistan after suicide bombing near the entrance to the international airport in Kabul in which five left dead earlier this month following several attach that killed dozens of civilians and security officials.
