Islamabad: Top Al-Qaeda leader Adnan Shukrijuma was killed with another extremist in military operation of Pakistan army on Saturday morning.

National media reported that in a successful military operation led by Pakistan army killed a top leader of Al-Qaeda named Adnan Shukrijuma. The raid was conducted following intelligence information about presence of the leader in the local compound in Shinwarsak, South Wazirastan.

Army official and Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Asim Saleem Bajwa gave a statement on social networking site that key leader of Al-Qaeda militant group has been killed along with his accomplice and local supporter in the area, also five of extremist have been taken into custody.

Adnan Shukrijuma, who have been wanted by US security over attack on New York subway, also a prize of five million has been set on Al-Qaeda leader. He was also the organizer of all external activities of terrorist group, moved from North to South Waziristan due to Military operation of Pakistan Army in that region to wipe out the terrorist from Pakistan.

Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif also appreciated the success of raid and killing of top Al-Qaeda leader stated that Pak army will continued the operation against these militants until they would be eliminated.
