New Zealand Beat Scotland by 3 Wickets in Dunedin, ICC World Cup
New Zealanders stormed on Scottish young cricketers with their thrilling bowling and batting and named second victory Pool A of World Cup. New Zealanders defeated their rivals with three-wicket at University Oval in Dunedin.
After hammered on Sri Lankan players, NZ hit hard Scottish players and give their best. Match was played at University Oval in Dunedin in which Scotland showed very bad performance while batting first. All of Scotland’s players couldn’t face Kiwis bowlers and went back to pavilion intermittently and all team collapsed on 142 (36.2).
Scottish left-handed batsman Matt Machan and Richie Berrington remained successful to achieve minor target but both played very well as Machan scored 56 on 79 balls and Berrington 50 on 80.
The bowling side of NZ has great potential as Daniel Vettori and Corey Anderson got three wickets with great economy rates, medium-fast Tim Southee and Trent Boult received two wickets.
When Kiwis joined the wicket to chase the minor target, their openers Brendon McCullum , Martin Guptill both couldn’t play for long time and went back.
Kane Williamson and Grant Elliott were remained successful to help their team to name win of this match as Williamson scored 38 on 45 balls and Elliott 29on 31.
However, the bowling side of Scot team wasn’t too bad because only two Kiwis Williamson and Elliott became the hurdle in way of victory if they lost wickets so the results definitely can be different.
Two Scotland’s bowlers, right-arm medium pacer Josh Davey and Iain Wardlaw showed marvelous piece of bowling and remained successful to attain wickets.
Davey and Wardlaw got three wickets and proved that they can make good for their team and nation in future because they have great energy and talent to defeat rivals.
