South Korea MERS Outbreak Death Toll Rises 9, More Than 2,800 Quarantined
Seoul: Nowadays the South Korea authorities are facing two combats as the virus itself and the public fear over Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) and in this critical condition.
They have been launching every strict and possible strategy to safe people from this deadliest virus. Despite of hard efforts, nine people have killed because of the virus.
Three days ago, it reported that six victim of Middle East respiratory syndrome have died in South Korea, it also said the 80-year-old man who was suffered from pneumonia and was admitted in hospital.
Received the virus from another patient and lost his life. The South Korean authorities explained the MERS outbreak has targeted more than 86 people in country.
The largest outbreak of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome was discovered from outside Saudi Arabia and now has attacked South Korean people.
According to latest estimation, increment of MERS patients has been growing every day and authorities reported on Tuesday that nine people have died just cause of MERS and it may kill more as 108 people also have discovered with this virus.
In the country, over 2,000 schools have closed fear of the deadliest virus and about 2,800 people remain quarantined, either at home or in health facilities.
The MERS targeting mainly adults excluding of one 16-year-old boy and it is clearly appearing those who died they were older adults with pre-existing conditions.
Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) was appeared about three years ago and medical experts have no knowledge about it and remained unsuccessful to find out the exact cure to overcome MERS.
Health Minister Moon Hyung-pyo told about the issue, “I think the spread of MERS could have ended much earlier if we had reacted more thoroughly early on. I feel very sorry about that,”
However, it is clear that it is not easily transmitted from person-to-person.
