Bautista to Join Blade Runner 2
There is very rapid news regarding the sequel of Blade Runner in recent months. It is known that fans will be able to see this movie in January 2018. The worldwide recognized names including Robin Wright and Ryan Gosling are attached to the film’s cast. Presently, it seems as though the latest individual to shake hands with Harrison Ford in Denis Villeneuve film is none other than Dave Bautista, the 6-time WWE world champion.
Batista initially started the curiosity by making a social media announcement on Saturday with posting his picture holding a tiny origami unicorn. With respect to some wrestling followers, they firstly considered it an announcement by Batista to join the recent WWE tag team champions and well-known unicorn lovers, The New Day, on their match to be played at WrestleMania this Sunday. However, it was formerly stated that Batista had refused any presence at the event.
At one side, when the wrestling fans were quite excited for Batista joining The New Day in order to defeat the League of Nations, the Animal Unleashed actually posted regarding his film career rather than his wrestling career. This was the time when the Sci-fi fans immediately pointed out that the origami unicorn was, in fact, related to the character of Edward James Olmos in the first movie of Blade Runner, prompting Dave had signed a role in the forthcoming sequel.
Character of Olmos, Gaff, was among the most mysterious character in the movie, but he was slayed in the sequel novel of Blade Runner that was written in 1995. It is yet not sure either Bautista’s post signifies that he is going to play a character in film which is, in some or the other, linked to Gaff or it was merely a delicate reference to the film itself. However, in both cases, the big man is sure to join the all-star cast.
Batista, (real name: David Michael Bautista) is an American actor and previous professional mixed martial artist and a well-recognized professional wrestler.
