Game of Thrones: Brienne revealing her role in season 6
Gwendoline Christie, the Game of Thrones actress talked about the storyline of her character in the forthcoming season 6, and exposed Brienne of Tarth will be having a livelier arc present year.
More screen time on this season also characteristically means faceing more terrible dangers. Till now, Brienne’s fierce combat abilities have kept her thriving in spite of being loaded with behaviors that typically prove rapidly deadly in Westeros. In this season, she would not just rely on her strength to survive, a progress that she embraces. “Brienne is quite unconventional and unique and very strong, and I love that has not allowed to just stay there,” Christie explains.
And one more time, Brienne will be facing characters that she had never faced before. The comparatively diffident on-screen duties of last season did offer some benefits, and made Christie able to dedicate time to her popular big-screen characters in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay 2 as Commander Lyme and in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as chrome trooper Captain Phasma; yet more to revealed in Episode VIII.
Yet for Christie, prominent roles are not only for the sake of her own career— she says she used to feel like an outsider before joining Thrones and she sees her rise as an inspiration for Hollywood to make more varied roles. “Women inquire me about importance of Brienne them and they are actually happy it demonstrates an unusual side of womanhood and femininity as compared to the things that we have been watching,” she says.
Meanwhile being busy with other roles, the actress states that she has no interest in leaving Thrones for other movies. “My recent position makes me lucky enough to do many other things,” she explains, “But I am not interested in leaving this part.”
