India Beat Ireland by 8 Wickets ICC World Cup
The Irish cricketers set not huge target, just 260 runs in 49 overs and lost all wicket while playing against India at Seddon Park, Hamilton, Thirty-fourth match of World Cup.
The Irish openers William Porterfield, Paul Stirling set good opening score 89 for team but unfortunately other batting line couldn’t perform well and wickets fall was seen intermittently.
Porterfield scored 67 on 93 balls and went back after losing wicket by MM Sharma and Stirling bowled by Ashwin (42 on 41).
After openers, Niall O’Brien entertained well the audience with his fastest batting as made 75 on 75, Ed Joyce remained unlucky this bowled by Raina after facing 9 balls, Andy Balbirnie tried hard to stay at the wicket to support team’s poor condition but only collected 24 runs, after these batsmen, no one couldn’t defend the severest attacks of Indian bowlers and all wickets lost at total of 259.
Mohammed Shami appeared most dangerous bowler as he kicked out 3 Irish batsmen with his destructive bowling.
Indian openers Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan stood at wicket with massive confidence and stormed Ireland’s bowling line which destroyed badly by them.
Shikhar, Rohit helped each other to create a huge partnership while showing responsible behavior, but after about hour Rohit lost his wicket by Thompson, scored 64 on 66 while hitting 3 (4s) as well 3(6s).
However, Shikhar’s rage wasn’t finish that time, remained successful to create huge runs for team’s victory and scored 100 on 85 (11/4s, 5/6s) while losing his wicket Thompson. Virat Kohli both Ajinkya Rahane took charge of the wicket and completed the remaining score which given by the Irish rivals.
Now, Ireland had to face another contender Pakistan on Sunday 15 March at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide.
