Police Arrested Over Dozen People In Ferguson After Crowd Blocked Traffic Carrying Out Protest
On Monday night, protesters blocked traffic during successive demonstrations referring the anniversary of the fatal killing of a black 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, police arrested many people with charges of violation.
The huge emerged nearly after 24-hours a protest by the side of West Florissant Avenue and police tried to stop them by carrying out gunfire, in the result– an 18-year-old youngster wounded badly in the St. Louis suburb.
If reports are to be believed according to authorties statement, the 18-year-old indentified Tyrone Harris opened fire towards police officers on Sunday night.
It reportedly said that the wounded Harris is still in serious condition in hospital, while accused of four counts of attack on police force, one count of shooting at a motor vehicle, and five counts of armed criminal action.
On the other hand, Steve Stenger, St. Louis County Executive has announced a state of emergency which was approved by county Police Chief Jon Belmar to overcome of police emergency management around Ferguson.
However, Mr. Stenger strongly condemned the recent acts of violence while saying these will not be tolerated in a community as police force as well authorities have been working since last year to establish peace.
The demonstrators chanted slogans by playing drums and carried signs. Some of the protesters turned road with aim to traffic jam and that time police asked them to leave the location but in the response, protestors threw debris, rock and water bottles at police.
Nonetheless, the police forces have taken into their custody more than 55 people involved in violation on Monday while blocking all 10 lanes of Interstate 70 that said to be runs through Ferguson. The location was considered third where arrests have been done by the police officers.
