Turkish Authorities Pledges to Take Action after Protest over Girl Student’s Murder

The Turkish authorities have taken the decision to take action against criminal over the protest which done claiming to stop violence against women.

The outcry was the angry as a bus driver raped young female student and after raping killed.

The people demonstrated great anger over killing of 20-year-old Ozgecan Aslan female student and claiming to start the strategy to stop the series of violence over women which is going on in Turkey and after observing the true anger of people Turkish leader vowed to launch strict actions.

The most of the officials had agreed to restore the death penalty for the suspected and his two partners which have taken into custody.

After this tragedy, Turkish women took Twitter to post stories of violence with hashtag #sendeanlat (you tell your story).

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan showed great anger while saying that women were not equal with men in November, now stated that the suspected deserve severest punishments.

Erdogan said in his televised addressing, “Violence against women is an open wound on our society. I hope the awareness that has been raised with the death of Ozgecan will be the beginning of a new era,”

Killing of young girl student is a great trauma for us and the criminals will be punished soon and also showed hope that the crime would become turning point for Turkey, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said while addressing news reporters in Ankara.

The two daughters of President, Esra Albayrak and Sumeyye Erdogan had visited to share the sorrow to victim’s family members at her home in southern Turkey.

Turkish media had explained, Tarsus court, southern Mersin region had remanded in custody awaiting trial suspected killer Ahmet Suphi Altindoken and partners of rapist, suspected father Necmettin Altindoken and Fatih Gokce.
