3 Climbers Rescued, Injured After Fall on Mount Hood
Mount Hood: three climbers have been rescued including two who were injured after fall on Mount Hood as accidents occurred on Saturday morning.
According to foreign media rescuers have managed to save two injured climbers, who fall on Mount Hood after accident, on Saturday morning, Oregon National Guard helicopter has evacuated these climbers and taken into nearby hospital.
Local authorities reported that two climbers have been fall from the Hogsback Mountain, they received a help call around 11am, to which they responded immediately, a male and a female, are being taken to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center for treatment.
Deputy Ben Frazier said has stated that they are still unknown the cause of accident because the weather of mountain was too calm with clear skies, male climber might have a broken femur, while the female climber has two broken ankles, he explained the injuries.
Media reported that all rescue operation has been ended up after five hours because the injured climbers have been brought 300 feet down to mountain before helicopter uplifted them and transferred them to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center for treatment.
The sheriff’s office has not disclosed the identities of the injured people while what made then fall is also investigated.
