US Spends $9m A Day In Combat Against Islamic State
The United States has been battling against Middle East’s dangerous organization Islamic State since last August and in this whole duration has spent over $2.7 billion, though now it’s the average daily cost is $9 million, the Pentagon stated in statement last day.
According to the report which released first time the defense department on Thursday, America’s average daily cost of the war is now over $9 million.
The report demonstrated that the Air Force has borne two-thirds of the overall paying out over $1.8 billion, though the daily average cost of battle, operations and other flights expenditure in excess of $5m a day.
The often secret special operations expenditure was also mentioned in this report clearly that was the total calculation over $200 million since August.
The defense department Pentagon’s that report was issued following the Congress rejected legislation and argued on Thursday and a decision also has taken by Congress that these expenditure will be banned on the combat operations until lawmakers passed a new war powers resolution.
The series of offensive was launched in Iraq in August against Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant organization when United States first started air strikes and after some days Military operations was carried out in Syria and in these actions a large number of money was expanded.
A large number of air strikes by the US-led coalition have been carrying out for months in Iraq on hideouts of Iraq-Syria militant organization’s fighters who have captured key cities of the country.
The aim of the US-led coalition is that o help he Iraqi military and government to take back the captured cities from Islamic State.
Two days ago, White House announced to send over 450 troops to Iraq for help train fighters of Sunni tribes as they will be part of their advancing.
