Los Angeles: Hollywood making ‘The Hunger Games Mockingjay part 1’ hit the cinemas over weekend, earned up to $121.9 Million at box office.
The Hunger Games sequel Mockingjay top the box office as expected, the movie managed to collect $121.9 Million, surpassed every earlier record at box office.
Mockingjay starring Jennifer Lawrence Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth in lead roles, left behind the Disney’s “Big Hero 6,” which earned $20.1 million to land in second place while others current releases like horror-thriller sci-fi Interstellar positioned third with $15.3 million.
According to Rentrak which gave list of compiled movies on the basis of distribution studio, number of theater the movie released, average receipts per theater, total gross and number of weeks in release, has top the sequel of ‘Hunger Games’ Mockingjay part 1.
The next and final Part 2 of Mockingjay is set to hit the theaters in the mid of next year.
