Brazil Election Dilma Rousseff Elected For a Second Term
Brazil: President Dilma Rousseff has been re-elected for second term after a close win with 51.6% votes in recent polls held on Sunday.
According to foreign news agency on Sunday in the second round of the presidential elections of Brazil Dilma Rousseff was countered Senator Aecio Neves, won the polls with 51.6% votes and re-elected as Brazil President second time.
Workers’ Party (PT) has been in power since 2002, will start next term of four year from January, 1,, while the Dilma Rousseff was elected Brazil President second time who won the recent election with close margin of 51.6% votes, the opponent party was on second position with 48.4% votes.
Dilma Rousseff was in power since 2010, will be president till 2018, said thanks to Brazilian public who considered their whole effort against poverty rather than the recent bust in economy.
The elected President stated that he has faced lots of strikes and protests against poverty and corruption in last term, would be a seen a more efficient president in next term, talked about re-unite the Brazil.
Dilma, 66 vowed for dialogue and peace in Brazil, has weakened mandate in wealthier and developed southern part of Brazil but did well in the poorer northern states nearly 40% of votes were from these region, Worker’s Party also campaigned well in poorer regions claimed that opposite Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB) pushed them in darkness as in 1990.
Aecio Neves of PSDB accepted the defeat would be a tough opposition for Worker’s Party in next term as it has also a massive mandate with 48.4% votes narrowly left behind the winning President Party.
