1. Ice Pack
When a spider bites you, washing the wound should be your first thing to do with soap and warm water. Then take an ice pack and apply it on the wound. Ice will help to numb the affected place by lowering the temperature of the nerves. Itching, swelling and inflammation will be prevented. Apply for 10 minutes in the first 24 hours. Don’t apply ice directly to the skin.
2. Baking Soda
Baking soda is the alkaline substance which draws the venom out. After spider bites apply baking soda on the wound it will help reducing inflammation, itching and pain. Mix 3 spoons of baking soda with water and applies it on the affected area with the help of cotton for 5 minutes and then rinses it with warm water.
3. Salt
Salt has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic characteristics and with the help of these properties salt helps to recover the spider bites by drawing out its venom quickly. It also prevents redness and inflammation. Take a wet cloth and sprinkle salt over it. Bandage it on the wounded area for 2 or 3 hours.
4. Activated Charcoal
Activated charcoal has a natural tendency to absorb. After a spider bite apply some activated charcoal on the affected are it will draw out the toxics from the body by absorbing it and the inflammation will automatically be reduced. By making a paste of charcoal with water apply it on the wound after washing the area with warm water. Repeat after 2 to 3 hours.
5. Potatoes
Potato has soothing, anti-irritating and moisturizing characteristics. With the help of a starchy potato itching and inflammation can be prevented after a spider bite and can also promote healing. Apply wet grated potato poultice on the wound after cleaning it. Replace it after it starts drying.
6. Aspirin
Aspirin also have anti-inflammation properties. It reduces the effect of spider venom and can help healing quickly. Swelling and inflammation can be controlled with the help of aspirin. Make a paste of 2 aspirins with water and apply it on the wound. After 2 hours rinse it with warm water and repeat 2 times.
7. Turmeric
Turmeric naturally has painkilling, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic characteristics. It can heal spider bites, pain, swelling and inflammation. Mix 2 spoons of turmeric with olive oil and make a paste. Apply it on the wound for 10 minutes and then rinse it.
8. Lemon Juice
Lemon juice can also help prevent itching, inflammation and swelling. Lemon juice is a natural astringent which can cure rash after spider bite infection. Apply lemon juice on the affected area by cotton and after 10 minutes wash with warm water. You can also use a lemon piece for rubbing on the wound; it will also do the same purpose.
9. Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera has natural soothing, anti-inflammation, moisturizing and antiseptic properties. Its gel can be used for the cure of spider bites, as it can help reducing the swelling, itching and pain. Apply Aloe Vera gel directly on the wound several times a day.
10. Peppermint
Peppermint is a natural pain reliever because of its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Swelling and inflammation can be prevented with the help of this herb. Take fresh peppermint juice and apply it on the wound for 10 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water.
