Jiangmi Storm Passed Through Philippine Left 54 Dead
Manila: Jiangmi tropical storm killed at least 54 while another 13 of people went missing as it left the Philippine on Thursday.
According to foreign media the tropical storm exited from Philippine, left 54 dead and 13 reportedly missing after heavy flashfloods and landslides after fierce winds of speed more than 80 kilometer per hour passed through the state on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Authorities stated that death toll was triple comprised with Super Typhoon Hagupit which hit the country last months, the timely measures and precautions can save more live, they added.
Civil defense Chief Alexander Pama said while talking to local media that they did not put enough communication to people about destructive storm and issued warning not in time.
Jiangmi hit the southern Philippines on Tuesday with heavy winds, affected more than 12000 people while nearly 80,000 were evacuated by rescue teams, and storm caused great damage to power and communication system in the region.
According to an estimate about 20 storm hit the country every year, however, Last year Super Typhoon Haiyan considered the worst in history of State which left more than 7000 while thousands were displaced.
