World Cup Semi Final: Australia Beat India Reaches to Final
Sydney: In second semi final of World Cup Australia has defeated India by huge margin of 95 runs and qualifies for final to face the New Zealand.
In the second semi final played at Sydney Cricket Ground of Australia, Australia has won the match by 95 runs and got India out from World Cup, reached to final where Kangaroos face the Kiwis on March, 29 at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
India has took an excellent start as opening partnership broke on 76 when S Dhawan gone on 45 runs, to chase the average target of 328 set by Australian players on scoreboard it was good start but after fall of first wicket Indian players couldn’t face the exceptional bowling of Kangaroos and all team went to pavilion after scoring 233 in 46.5overs.
The Indian skipper MS Dhoni has tried to stand the score by his sensible batting of 65 runs while other major additions were from AM Rahane and RG Sharma who add 44 and 34 runs respectively.
JP Faulkner sent three players back while MG Johnson and MA Starc victimized two players each from Australian bowling end.
JR Hazlewood also has excellent spell with economy of 4.10, he also has taken one wicket. From Indian bowling end UT Yadav has succeeded to take four wickets while MM Sharma also did out two of Kangaroos.
Earlier, Australia elected to bat first after winning the toss but the start was not good as first wicket has fallen on just 15 but brilliant innings from AJ Finch, 81 and SPD Smith, 105 enable Australia to reach average destination of 328 runs in 50overs on loss of seven wickets.
Australia has reached to final and will face Kiwis for their fifth World Cup on Sunday 29th March at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne.
New Zealand already qualified for final by beating South Africa in first semi final and will play their first final of Cricket World Cup ever.
