Saudi Court Sentenced to 70 Lashes to Woman for Abusive Man on WhatsApp
Saudi court has sentenced a woman to 70 lashes after finding her guilty of insulting allegation of a man on the messaging service WhatsApp.
It wasn’t announced her name in reports, but the 32-year-old woman has confessed to abusing the man as well denied the court decision, Saudi media reported.
If take a view on nature of the case, so it appears unclear but convicted by the court with insulting accusations as complainant filed abusive case against her. However, after finding her guilty of indecent behavior, also fined her about £3,600.
On the other hand, in another case, one more Saudi judge gave permission a man to divorce his wife prayed ‘to be patient enough to put up’ while messaging on WhatsApp. The husband had claimed that she talked him while using indecent language.
The insulting message was the last one for husband because after it ended his relation while announcing divorce, Saudi Gazette (English language tabloid) reported. The husband mentioned to court, they both have lost their love relation or intimacy and hence to her is better option for him.
He also told that she insulted a lot while telling her whole story on social media. He also explained that his wife didn’t misbehave first time on social media, even she wrote a poem about our dispute and I answered her wrongdoing.
Husband ended, “Changing a poem into a prayer makes no difference.”
