Wisconsin State Security Shot Dead a Bank Robbery Suspect in Fond du Lac
A bank robbery suspect and Wisconsin State trooper were shot dead in gun fighting on Tuesday about late afternoon.
It is said to be that the robbery suspect who was killed in this open gunfire, involved in another bank robbery which took place in Wausaukee’s small village Marinette County about earlier in day and also has killed about 60-year-old man close to Wausaukee.
The police officials discovered suspects’ vehicle in Fond du Lac when he was exchanging gunfire with a officer, Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve told media.
A spokesman for Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation has confirmed while addressing to reporters in a news conference that officer has killed in this gun fight which occurred close to West Johnson Street Pick ‘n Save store.
Police have declined to reveal any information about the incident till Wednesday and never disclosed identity of other victims.
Sauve told that man robbed the State Bank of Florence– 290 Main St. in Wausaukee at nearly 1:43 p.m as well fired shot and ran away.
After the incident, police surrounded the region and started search for the man because he was armed and could be dangerous for others.
Despite of searches, Police couldn’t discover him but found a body of a man alongside Jermac Road east of Wausaukee. Police officers found a vehicle which used in robbery, close to dead body.
An onlooker told media in Fond du Lac, a man was seen while jumping out from a vehicle as well exchanging fire with trooper before running.
The investigation has handed over to Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation while strictly saying the information shouldn’t be leak, Rick Olig, County Sheriff’s Department Capt. In described reporters.
