Mahmoud Abbas Sign The Application To Join The International Criminal Court

President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday asked the formal accession of Palestine to the International Criminal Court, which would allow notably to attack Israel for war crimes.

President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday signed the Palestinian bid to the International Criminal Court (ICC), following the rejection of a Palestinian UN resolution on the conflict with Israel.

In addition to this demand would continue Israeli officials before international justice, Mahmoud Abbas has signed 20 other international conventions during a meeting broadcast live on state television.

These concern in particular the war crimes and crimes against humanity, cluster weapons, the protection of persons and other areas that might be used in future legal offensive that Palestinians threatening to initiate against Israeli officials.

Membership of the Hague tribunal, once ratified by a period of about two months, allow the ICC to investigate the entry in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
