At least three people were wounded by bullets in the shootout this morning in the library at Florida State University in Tallahassee ( USA ), while the perpetrator was shot dead by police.

the vice president of student affairs of state, Mary Coburn, told local media that the university police shot the attacker after he refused to drop the weapon . The condition of the wounded any information about the author and the shooting is not known whether they are students, as well.

The university sent students an email alert about a “dangerous situation” on campus shortly after midnight and asked them to find a safe place. Two hours later, at 02.30 local time (07.30 GMT), the center announced on his Twitter account that the area was once again safe .

Neither campus police nor the city have offered yet more details about the incident. The Florida State University is one of the largest in the state , with about 40,000 students spread across 16 centers in Tallahassee, which is the capital.
