Russian investors ready to invest in Pak energy and automobile sectors
Russian Deputy Minister of industry and trade of republic Mr. IIdar Mingaleev who are visiting Pakistan with delegation of Russian businessmen who shown their interest to invest in Pakistan energy and automobile sectors. The Deputy Minister says that our delegation of businessman made negotiation with Pakistan Petroleum Limited and OGDCL to discover a joint venture in oil and gas fields between Pakistan and Russia. He also said that the Russian company Gazprom which is the largest energy company in Russia who was interested to supplying LNG to Pakistan. It’s become possible when RT Global resources construct the 1100 KM long gas pipeline for Karachi to Lahore in 2020.
Russian investor wants to invest and create a joint venture in Pakistan to produce passenger cars, heavy duty trucks, shipbuilding, compressors and other specialized vehicles said by Russian Deputy Minister. He added that Russia is free economic zone and provide tangible tax benefits to foreign investor and there is an opportunity for Pakistani investors to locate a textile unit in Russia and gain profit and capture the vast market of the region. He also says that business delegation of Pakistan which also includes the ICCI member visit Russia which is planned by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan to explore business opportunity in Russia.
Russia is an important country for Pakistan and we want to develop a close and friendly relationship with Russia said by Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh who is the President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also said that Pakistan wanted to strengthen its economy and trade, we should need to develop scientific and technical assistance with Russia the achieve commonly benefits. Pakistan want to strengthen its root in Central Asia and focus on to increase its trade and exports with neighboring countries said by Mr. Atif.
