Wikileaks Reveals US Spying On Japan For Decades
A website WikiLeaks, who gained popularity by publishing the publishing secret government documents of many countries, revealed a list of 35 high-profile targets in Japan which spied by the NSA since 2006.
A new series of documents released by WikiLeaks reveals a list of 35 high-profile targets in Japan that the NSA has spied on since 2006.
An international, non-profit- journalistic organization has released a series of secret documentation, in which it is being mentioned that United States has been spying on conglomerates, senior Japanese government officials, ministries as well senior advisers as;
- Yoshihide Suga, the executive secretary to the Chief Cabinet Secretary
- Numerous officials within the Japanese Central Bank
- Governor Haruhiko Kuroda
- The home phone number of at least one Central Bank official
- Trade and Industry Yoichi Miyazawa
- The Petroleum Division of Mitsui
- The Japanese Minister for Economy
- Japanese Finance Ministry’s members
- Japan’s Cabinet Office
- Natural Gas Division of Mitsubishi
- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe
On the other hand, Japan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said in the response of released a series of secret documentation by WikiLeaks, they will investigate the issue whether United States and for this the senior officials has been talking to US officials.
Spokesperson further said that Japan will continue to keep secure its secret information by carrying out measures.
WikiLeaks Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Julian Assange spoke about release of secret information Japan authorities should be alert yet as US intelligence keeping eye on their personal acts.
Assange described in his speech, “the lesson for Japan is this: do not expect a global surveillance superpower to act with honor or respect.”
