Afghan Taliban Refuses Claims Of Mullah Omar’s Son’s Killing In Pakistan
Afghan Taliban has refused the media claims as well other speculations of Mullah Omar’s son killing in Pakistan, a senior Afghan official reported on Monday.
Zahir Qadir, who is first deputy speaker of the Afghan national assembly, claimed days ago death of the late militant Mullah Omar’s son, Mullah Yaqub, was shot dead in Pakistan’s 9th largest city Quetta in previous seven days.
However, the influential Afghan Taliban leader Agha Mutasim Jan stated media reporters that here is no truth in Yaqub’s death claim. Mutasim further told that Yaqub is still alive as we all are in contact with him.
Though, Dr Aminul Haq, another official of Taliban organization described that some of the Afghan officials are trying to generate a misunderstanding within the group, reason why launching fake reports about the Yaqub’s death. Dr. Haq also claimed that he is in contact with Yaqub as recently talk to him.
On the other hand, if a statement by the deputy speaker of the Afghan national assembly is to be believed, in which he claimed citing a trustworthy insider, who told him that Mullah Yaqub had looked forward to succeed his father as leader of the Afghan Taliban.
while something went wrong within the organization after militants announced the new Taliban chief Akhtar Mansoor about four days ago, his supporters believed to be killed during a conference.
The deputy speaker Qadir also told Afghanistan’s commercial television station that the 21-years-old Yaqub wanted to be supreme lead of Taliban group after his father’s death but on other side, Mansoor remained inflexible by claiming to become new leader of the militant organization.
Though, Qari Yousaf Ahmadi, spokesperson for Afghan Taliban has rejected the baseless statements which launched by unidentified officials, claimed Yaqub was killed in a assault that carried out on Taliban convoy in Balochistan’s town of Chaman or close to Kuchlak.
