At Least 130 Dead in Taliban School Attack in Peshawar
Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) stormed the army school in Peshawar, killed at least 131 people including 123 school children.
According to Pakistani media five to seven TTP militants wearing security uniform entered the Army school in Peshawar early morning on Tuesday, the attack killed at least 131 till now while nearly 120 were wounded hospitalized immediately.
The reports suggested that nearly 500 people including student and teachers were present in school; many of them have been still trapped in different blocks of school despite of continuous evacuation by Army rescuers.
Local media reported that Army personnel reached the location without delay and started operation against terrorists; some blocks have been cleared by security forces.
A witness student told about situation that they were in class when they listen the gunfire shut the doors quickly but the militants broke the doors and entered to classrooms. He described the appearance of militants as foreign those were speaking Arabic.
This is one of the most deadly attacks ever in Pakistan, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, MQM Chairman Altaf Hussain, PTI leader Imran Khan and many of political leaders condemned the attack and declared it a massacre which it is also expressed expressed deep sorrow and regret to the relatives of the victims.
TTP claimed the responsibility justified the attack by their statement that this is a response of operation Zarb-e-Azb and in South Waziristan.
