Chief of PAT Dr. Tahirul Qadri Arrived in Lahore After Seven Month
The Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr. Mohammad Tahirul Qadri has arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore today, supporters welcomed him warmly.
As the chief of PAT Dr. Qadri landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport, before his arrival a large number of his party workers and followers gathered there to welcome their leader, after arrival, all received him by welcoming warmly.
It said to be that security personnel from Punjab Police offered him for defense but party reportedly refused it.
Nevertheless, a threat alert was already issued by the Punjab government to Qadri, in which it is recommending to avoid travelling in a crowd as terrorist may target procession.
It mentioned in warning letter, to avoid traveling in public procession as well using vest and bullet-proof vehicle because of the possible threat to life of PAT chairperson.
It also recommended party to keep an eye on every stranger who tries to come close to Qadri’s van especially at traffic signal or road-blockage circumstance.
The warning letter was issued in outcome of intelligence reports, in which it cleared that two suicide attacker feared to have turn Lahore city as left Waziristan tribal area, hence security worried about him.
It believed to be that these both terrorists belonging to Islamists dangerous militant organization Al Qaeda, who may target Qadri’s public procession as he is renowned religious, political as well living in abroad.
Dr. Qadri who known as Islamist Scholar, first landed at Dubai airport as took off from London on a flight, then turned Lahore airport where hundreds of people warmly welcomed him.
Dr. Qadri left Pakistan country in last October just because of his bad health and was being treated in United States and for some visit, took off from Heathrow Airport, situated in London.
