The producer-director of the American Gothic romance horror venture ‘Crimson Peak,’ Guillermo del Toro has revealed that film will unveil liberating gender roles.

The experienced filmmaker Del Toro loves to create powerful women characters in his films as we have seen same thing in ‘Pacific Rim’ and ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’. Nevertheless, del Toro also mentioned at the San Diego Comic-Con panel about his passion to introduce women characters in his projects
The 50-year-old filmmaker said,

“The whole point for me with the love story is not to make the typical romance where everything ends in marriage and that marriage is the ultimate blessing,”

The main characters of the film as Mia Wasikowska as Edith Cushing, Laura Waddell as Pamela Upton, Jessica Chastain as Lady Lucille Sharpe, Tom Hiddleston as Sir Thomas Sharpe, Leslie Hope as Mrs. McMichael will entertain you well in theaters as slated to be hit theaters on 16 October,.

Del Toro explained more, “In the movie, actually, marriage is the gateway to a very painful discovery and horror.”
