Four Suspects Of Al-Qaeda Killed By Drone Strike In Yemen
Drone strike killed four Al-Qaeda suspects in Yemen. This is the third attack in a week, since President Obama vowed in his visit to India to eradicate terrorism and to pursue its anti-Jihadists campaign in the region.
The third drone strike took place on Monday n the province of Baida of Yemen. The strike targeted a car carrying at least four suspects of Al-Qaeda. According to sources it is also stated that car was also loaded with heavy ammunition and explosive due to which car got exploded and all four bodies got burned badly.
According to Yemeni Officials the drone fired two missiles at the vehicle travelling on a dirt road in the province of Baida in the south eastern region f Yemen.
The United Stated has been working with the Yemen forces to eradicate militancy from the region. United States provide assistance to Yemen forces to track and kill the suspected Al-Qaida members working in the territory of the country.
However, this cooperation between United States and Yemen government has been condemned and criticised by number of groups as it causes more civilian death in the region than killing of any militants groups.
The drone strikes in Yemen also climbed as a result of last month’s Hebdo attack in Paris. As the Al-Qaida operating in the region of Yemen claimed the responsibility of the attack on Charlie Hebdo newspaper in Paris.
Previously Yemen was under the rule of President Hadi, who was a staunch defender of drone program, and military cooperation between Yemen and US. Hadi was ousted by Shiite Muslim rebels, who are completely against American drone programs and any cooperation with US forces.
Since then the country is completely under political havoc, making Yemen a dangerous place for peace lovers and common citizens and ideal place for Jihadists.
