Honduras: 14 People dead, 55 Injured In Bus Accident
Honduras: Death toll reached to 14 in bus accident in western Honduras on Friday, the bus ran off and went down in ravine.
Media reported that at least fourteen people dead while 55 were injured in bus accident, crashed into ravine on Friday in Honduras, 11 people were died at the spot due to severe injuries and another three also died before reaching the hospital.
Quintin Juarez, Chief of traffic police revealed that bus accident occurred nearly 10:00 am, carrying 69 people on it, fell down in 260 feet down ravine in western Honduras.
Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez gave a statement of sorrow on twitter stated that we all are with the families of San Juan de Opos victims and may God give them strength to be patient, instructed the officials about injured person for good care.
Rescue officials revealed that emergency management teams rescued 45 people while the other are still not recovered so number of causalities would be increase, also stated that some survivors were also in critical condition hospitalized immediately.
Initial report of investigation stated that bus left municipality of Choloma in early morning, was reached at Santa Rosa de Copan for religious ceremony, crashed due to over speed and carelessness of driver, however, final report would reveal the actual cause of accident which may take several days.
