Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan Resigned After Statement Against ISI Chief Zaheerul Islam
Islamabad: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senior minister and senator, Mushahid Ullah Khan has announced his resign after accusing a former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief of having intention to capture the country’s power while removing civil and military leadership during the PTI sit-ins previous year.
Senator Mushahid submitted his resignation to Prime Minister House from South Asian country Maldives as he was there that time, while he has been called back immediately over the PM Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s order.
Mushahid’s resignation came out after his an interview to BBC Urdu at the first anniversary of the sit-ins, in which he accused an ex-intelligence chief, though the Federal Information Minister Pervez Rashidhas confirmed his quit from his party minister post.
Nonetheless, BBC news has also mentioned Mushahid has dismissed his post and also claimed a recording of Gen Islam was played referring protesters to reason confusion as well about the attack on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif‘s residence.
It reportedly said PM Sharif has asked Mushahid on Friday, to provide strong evidence about his allegation.
In the response, a statement was issued by the military spokesperson General Asim Bajwa, in which said the claims about the recording are just baseless speculations.

Mushahid described a recording was played by the PM Sharif during a conference with Pakistani military Chief Gen Raheel Sharif.
On the other hand, Mr. Rashid has clearly refused Mushahid’s that statement while claiming that no recording was played and there is no truth in his claim about the tape.
Mohammad Ilyas Khan, BBC online correspondent explained in Islamabad that it wasn’t first as a politician claimed against ISI—- it has been done many times.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif also made allegations on Gen Islam of plotting to capture the country power in about February of March,, while no one rebuked in response that time.
